  1. Question: Can I pay with card in the copy shop?
    Answer: I think yes, but only 5€ or more.

  2. Question: How much costs the mensa food?
    Answer: It costs between 2,50€ and 4,50€ on average.

    Answer: The fee is 17,98€ monthly.

    Answer: It depends on the IC of every University

  8. Question: What is the Semesterticket?
    Answer: It allows you to use regional train and regional bus in S-H and HH; no IC, ICE and CE.

  9. Question: What sports-activities do you have at CAU?

    Answer: Fill in the enrolment (IC); pay X€ (6eck-Bau); pick up your Card (IC); ask for a release from liability to contribution (TK in Mensa1); don't forget to validate after collection (e.g. Mensa1).

  1. Question: Do I have to prepare an english or german contract?
    Answer: A german contract is required.

    Answer: Please, don't exaggerate but guests for a few weeks could be ok.

    Answer: You have to look up the opening hours in your student house.

    Answer: You pick it up or a friend with permission letter. In beforehand you organize an appointment with the janitor.

    Answer: You pay each third workday by transferal/cash/direct debiting.

  6. Question: Can I rent my dorm when I’m not there?
    Answer: No, this is not allowed at all.

  7. Question: Are there different types of dorms?
    Answer: Yes, there are single apartments and single rooms in WG or floor.

    Answer: Yes, or alternatively you go to a wash center in the city.

    Answer: Yes, 10 gigabyte per month, but it will be blocked till next month when used.

  1. Question: How do I enroll for courses?
    Answer: It differs from faculty to faculty (deadlines, etc.); Portals: OLAT and QIS; Univis is only for information.

  1. Question: Can I use the bus/train within Kiel?
    Answer: Yes, and the admission letter permits it, if you still ain't got the CAU-card.

    Answer: At the Sparkasse (studiale) or at the Commerzbank

    Answer: Rubbish is divided into blue (paper), yellow (plastic), brown (organic), black (rest) and ? (glass).
